Sending a gift card/certificate to family in Switzerland

I live in the US and my niece lives in Zug. I'd like to send her a gift card or gift certificate that she can use in Switzerland. What would be the best way to do that? If I buy a gift certificate on Amazon.com or iTunes, could she use that? Or should I just convert some US money into Swiss francs and send that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yes she could use those here! Think they are both good ideas!
