I've never illegally immigrated, neither to CH nor to the USA, but that's what we called back there in my little town in Mexico to anyone going to work abroad.

I have no imagination whatsoever, so I went and used my real name. Boy, do I regret it now...

Erm, well, very boring... it's my work userid. I basically picked something I thought I might remember. So actually if you know where I work and you work there too you could, like, look me up....

Re: What's the significance of your EF name?

While I was researching for my PHD thesis, On Auras, Chakras and Cosmic Flow in Homeopathy and Crystal Healing, I noticed a field of putative energy surrounding the Russian Space Station. I believe that this is proof of an unknown force guiding our lives from outer space - I named this force mirfield.

I devoted much of my life to furthering my knowledge of mirfield and trying to gather fellow believers. So far with little success.

I hope that by repeatedly repeating mirfield's name at the top of my posts and ensuring that the posts contain no actual information that requires real thought, that mirfield will enter your subconscious.

The glorious day will soon be upon us when the people of the world will, as one, rejoice, "Mirfield, mirfield, mirfield" and our mentor will appear to us and guide us, at last, to a peaceful and happy death.

Or something.

Re: What's the significance of your EF name?

Mine doesn't have any significance either. I didn't want to use my name, nor did I like to write sweety83 or such stuff. And I've never joined a forum before...

So, a bit uncreative, I chose a name of a character from a novel.
I read "The Great Gatsby" at the time I joined. And the character I disliked the least (besides Nick) was Jordan Baker.

Jordan- obviously more popular as a guys name, as I should discover soon.

So most of the people I met the first time in real life were quite surprised to see that I'm a girl. That's why I chose a "girly avatar" in the end.

Anyhow, I don't think it should matter on a forum, whether people think your female or male.

After the 17th victim crumpled in my sights and I walked away into the silence of the night, my heart beating slightly faster and the acrid smell of cordite hanging like a cloud of redemption in the air, I felt that this was a better way to spend my days than enduring the eight to five rat race with commuters huddled together in unwilling closeness on the S-Bahn.
Do you have some sort of creed you follow?

As regards my forum name, well, it's my name. Funnily enough.

I work in Chemistry, but I'm a Chemical Engineer.

In undergrad we used to shorten our field to ChemEng or Chem-E.....just kinda stuck
