Are you an IKEA drinks thief?

The family card entitles me to free coffee but I always fill it up with hot chocolate and sometimes even soft drink. Do others do this too or is it just me?

Once I even tried getting free ice cream but the machine would not accept the coffee cup No I am not the old homeless guy who hangs at IKEA for free food and drinks. If you have seen him then you would know who I am talking about.

Sounds like something my dad would have done but he would have produced his pocket knife and modified his coffee cup to access the ice cream, too.

Some of the busy bodies who work there think they are guarding Swiss gold so one has to be low key It's not about the money but I just like the challenge. Having spent many thousand francs there I feel I deserve some game play. Recently I have stopped doing it though.

Ok, now I'm REALLY never moving to the Swiss German part of the country. You are all crazy! Have never seen a worker guard the drinks in Aubonne. & unless things have changed the coffee machine is out of the way of the counter people.

Now, I am a drinks thief! I've refilled which I think is not allowed.

Dunno about coffee, but I'm pretty sure that soft drink refills are allowed.

Yes if you paid for the soft drink initially What I am talking about is getting free coffee drink/cup but then filling it with soft drinks and hot chocolate.

They always come to wipe the machines. Unfortunately there is always a busy body who takes her job bit too seriously. I was told by one to pay for the drink or chuck it down. I played innocent, chucked it down and then refilled it with free coffee She was fuming but nothing she could do as I was entitled to free coffee.

Re: Are you an IKEA drinks thief?

I am guilty of this!!! Sometimes if I am feeling really daring I get 2 coffee cups (which I think you are entitled to) and make one of my kids use the other!

Re: Are you an IKEA drinks thief?

Yes I am guilty of all that too, but FREE is only available from Monday to Friday,

Maybe you could buy the ice cream waffle cones in the IKEA shop, and get the ice cream out of the machine?
