Got an old spare Ikea bed, not used much but starting to creak a little. Found that a couple of the fastenings have snapped and I need to replace them.

Anybody know if you can walk into Ikea and ask for spares etc? Part of me thinks they must carry some just in case new ones are delivered without

You can just go to IKEA and ask for the missing pieces. Taking a sample, or the manual with the image of the piece you want would help.

I have a box full of extra IKEA pieces. If you tell me what it is, I could check it out


I bought table and chairs in IKEA. Chairs had ruined screws (melted metal made them impossible to... screw) and 2 pieces where missing from table. Didn't have to pay extra for them. Just smiiiiiiiiile )

P.S.: The spare part counter is next to the client help in IKEA Dietlikon, just after the IKEA Food/ Hotdogs, outside the shopping area itself. Should follow similar plan in other filials.

Yes you can - they have most of the spare nuts and bolts there at the service desk next to the checkouts. We we lost some bolts recently, we just got some from Coop to save an ikea trip.

We were just there last night, and as Marie said, you can get the spare screws, and thing-a-ma-bobs right next to the Customer Service desk.

Thats amazing.....its actually a "4mm right handed thing-a-ma-bob" that I need!
