Re: Removing back hair (Bachelor Party)

and, here is the big question: who does a good job of waxing ? Any saloon recommendations/prices etc. Seeing that this thread is well watched, where can I go in Zurich for an eyebrow wax/thread and other waxing (arms/legs)?? Help!!!

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau

I can recommend the spa at Globus for waxing. I've been several times and it's always been a good experience. The people on reception all speak perfect English and the girl I've always seen (I'm afraid I don't know her name) always tells me she doesn't speak much English but she certainly knows enough to communicate with me. It's a very relaxing experience - which is strange for a wax! Price wise it's probably not the cheapest but I certainly didn't think it was overally expensive.

While everyones asking, can I ask if anyone can recommend anywhere in Zug that is reasonably priced and good? Mainly for leg waxing and eyebrows.

Cheers, Daisy

Well someone's mentioned some names here for Vanity near Stockerstrasse. I can also recommend Mimosa from Vanity Baur Au Lac.

And then there's Oasis on loewenstrasse. They don't speak english though are very friendly and warm. They do great waxing though.

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau

Hi everyone..
Its so good to read from all the people here..that I have some hope finally to get a good wax and threading done.
I was dreading that i WONT find a place.

If anyone has any recommendations ,i'd highly appreciate those.
I live in Vitznau ...but any place in Weggis , Kussnacht, Lucerne (luzern) would do.

ALso Im travelling to Lugano this weekend...so I dont mind a place there either.
Please reply..i want a brazilian bikini done...n threading if possible.

Not too expensive though

Thank you.

It is quite important to know the name of the person, I learnt today. Melanie in Globus spa is a very nice girl, the atmosphere is relaxing, yet I will never go back there again as she's simply not good in waxing. Any recommendations of who in Vanity, Labo spa or anywhere else is actually a specialist in waxing?
Thanks
E.

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau

I highly recommend Desirée at LABO Spa. I have tried countless salons and spas over the last 15 years all over the world and she is truly an EXPERT.....

FYI - Brazilian waxes at LABO Spa are CHF 70.

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau

I have an impression prices went up since the 1st September in many places. If I am not mistaken, in Labo as well. Now it's 100 instead of 70 and they haven't changed it on Internet yet

Thanks for this info, anyway

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau

I went to Roma and was thrilled with the kind reception the lady (Mrs. Langenegger) gave me as well as the fairly pain-free and long-lasting wax. However, next time I will have to pluck up the courage to tell her that a Brazilian doesn't stop a few centimetres before the perineum.
(How about a ladies only area in the forum? That is somehow waaay too much info to share with all of humanity...)

Wax at decent rpice?

I am quite schocked about the prices here... in Geneva I got Brazilian+half leg+eyebrows and lip at 72 CHF (payng an 80 CHF yearly membership card and going 1/month)

Here it seems thatfor the same Icannot get anything less than 150CHF...

Really wondering about prices of these things here now... thinking about going to Geneva regularly and getting it done there whilst vsitng friends... price will almost be the same anway!!!

If anyone knows chepaer (but good) places I am a taker...

Cheers,

Cristina

Hi All,

I am quite new to Switzerland, living in Basel. Can anyone recommend a salon for waxing in or near the town centre? (brazillian or otherwise!)

Thanks!!

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau

Don t lie Stephanwolf. . . I have seen you there after a fresh brazilian

I get waxed at Celeste Cosmetic. They are friendly and I get a brazilian wax (Brazilian Tango as they call it in Switzerland) for around 45 CHF.

All of the girls are good. Mary is fantastic, if you get the choice ask for her.

Hope that helps,
Darkphoenix

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau

Thanks, but I think my question was badly phrased! What I'm looking for is a salon is Basel. I expect I can walk around and find some but I would rather have a recommendation!

I just got a quote from Celeste - full legs + brazilian is CHF90 + CHF45. Cheaper than vanity! I might try there in the new year.

This thread is mostly for zurich/aargau based salons. It's best to start a specific thread for Basel.
