Does anyone know of a waxer in the Dietikon area? or where would be closest? Have just moved here and guess I thought there would be salons everywhere like at home!! hmm haven't seen one yet!

Thanks
Good evening,
I am not working at the moment but i've been working as a Beauticiam in my country for 9 years and i'm going to make a "Hot Stone" massage's course in Basel in 2 weeks. If you are still intereting, i can make the waxing for you, reply me, please in my email: (removed)

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

Hey girls,

I have just been given a trial waxing from mobile beauty in Zurich and it was great! A friend of mine knows the girl who owns it, she's launching the business in Nov/December it's basically waxing in the comfort of your own home I think its great because I don't have to find a babysitter or get stuck in traffic she comes directly to me, the prices are really affordable for the treatment she gave me: half leg wax and bikini line will only cost CHF60 and I got it for free

P.M for her e-mail address! Or you can go to her website www.mobilebeauty.ch

Have a lovely weekend!

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

Guys I am seriously upset, I mean I know Switzerland has other prices but here the service for wax is disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!
In Italy (Bologna area where I'm from) you get a full body wax (underarm, brasilian bikini, full leg, eyebrow and lips) for 38 euros!!!!
They use the stringest wax, you don't have a single hair afterwards and it takes 50 minutes in total.
Here I went to some place, spent 150 fr and took like 2.5h?!?
Like the slowest service EVER...
I mean seriously I don't waste my time and money like that!!

Is there any beauty center in Zurich where prices and times are higher but at least "slightly comparable" to Italy?

Forgot to mention, some tips if u guys are in Ticino:

Portofino beauty in Lugano (close to Manor square) does full body wax for 65 fr.
I would also recommend Estetica Dahara in Paradiso (Lugano) 75 fr

It took 1h to wax, was ok

Hey Lally,

Where did you go to get all that done for CHF150 in Zurich?

I go to this place: http://www.feelbeautiful.ch/ and she does all of the above except for underarms, in an hour. Prices are on her site and she has her practice at Bellevue. If you do ring her for an appointment, please mention my name

~ Nanda.

Well, are there any places in Italy where salaries & taxes are "slightly comparable" to Switzerland?

Jokes aside, after long search only place in Zurich that does a good brazilian wax and where I must not book 3 weeks in advance is Labospa... but man, the price is 100 CHF

All very expensive here...

In Geneva only I used to get all done (half leg, lip, eyebrows and brazilian) for about 100 CHF (at Ile de Beauté)...I gave up looking in Zuerich after a few never-to-be-talked-about experiences...

Cheers,
K

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

I've just popped into 'Body Line' in Seefeld and picked up a price list and was pleasantly surprised compared with some of the places I've been looking at in Zurich.

Website: http://www.bodyline-cosmetic.ch/

Brazilian is 50CHF
Half leg is 35 CHF
Eye brows are 15CHF

I haven't tried them yet, so cannot comment on the quality of the waxing, but I'll try them next year and will report back!

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

Hi everyone,

OK I finally tried Body Line in Seefeld, I had half a leg wax and my eyebrows waxed and it was great! The girl that did my wax spoke very good English and the eyebrow shape she gave me is probably the best I've had.

They charged 35chf for half a leg and 15chf for eyebrows, which compared to most other places that I've checked is very reasonable.

http://bodyline-cosmetic.ch/index.php

In response to the original question asked at the very start of this thread...the brazilian wax looks like it is 50chf, which is a very acceptable price!

Emma

Dear Ladies,
I have an english page and price list. My shop is next door to "Christie's" - the auction house (2 mins walk from Kunsthaus and one stop from Bellvue) in Zurich.

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

For all of those who are looking for a professional waxing place, I recommend the following.

Janina Kosmetic
www.janina-kosmetik.ch

The lady is amazing!!! Trust me, you won't be dissapointed. I am a very picky client. Have been doing waxing for many years.

Her salon is in Oerlikon, right on Schaffhauser str. She is very professional and offers also facials. For underarm and leg up to knee waxing I paid 80 CHF. Well, what can you do, this is the price you pay in Switzerland. But she knows what she is doing, you won't be dissapointed.

Good luck!

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

I just went to Maykosmetik in Aarau for a brazilian. She's friendly and all. BUT towards the end of the session, I caught her double dipping!!!! I asked her if she changes the wax for every client because then that would still be fine. Unfortunately, the answer is no. I seriously hope I didn't catch anything

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

hey ladies, i tried amania cosmetics (she posted here before) and i just want to give some feedback of how happy i am.

she's an organic/holistic beautician and for waxing she's using the sugaring method which is totally different from the normal warm wax. i've been for a brazilian three times now and last week i did my first facial (i mean ever!) she has a new organic line in with only fresh aloe vera ingredients, so i was curious. i must admit, it really works a treat

i can only recommend her and definitely her new aloe vera line!

Re: Looking for a wax in Zurich /Aargau /Winterthur

Has anyone been to the www.artofbody.ch? I have an appointment for tomorrow because I want to try waxing with sugar paste (i believe it is a Turkish way of waxing), and nobody else in Zurich seems to be offering this..
