Store for make up

Hi, this is a very shallow first post.

But, anyway, I'm looking for good places to buy make up in Zürich. Not the drug store variety. And I really would like stores that carry many different brands so I don't have to visit several places to find what I'm looking for.

I'm grateful for any tips.

Re: Store for make up

There are lots of places. Manor, Globus, Jelmoli, Douglas Parfümerie...

Blah...I know what you mean. I used to be a make up junkie when I was living the US. We had Sephora and Ulta. I miss them!!

I went to the make up sections at Manor/Coop/Migros and was thinking...THIS IS IT?? I keep walking around in loops to look for more make up displays. SIGH

I really liked the selection at Jelmoli. Was not impressed with the Globus near the Bahnhof. Depends on what you're looking for... Really big Coop stores might have some interesting stuff too... There's also Marionaud (or something like that), in Bern they have a big selection, sort of like Douglas.

How much make up in display do you need? The Manor usually has quite a large section with brands from L'Oreal to Channel.

But I'm not a make-up junkie... My make-up stuff fits inside a whisky glass...

Re: Store for make up

Internet shopping is really where it's at, because of the price difference. Hqhair.com has free shipping, so that's always nice.

I also head across the border, because the cosmetics drop in price by about 1/2.

I just really miss having a Sephora nearby.....(my wallet does too).

Re: Store for make up

I always go to Marionnaud, since that the only place i've found in Zug that sells Clinique. You can check out their brands here: http://www.marionnaud.ch/de/brands/list/
