An odd one I know.

I had an unfortunate incident with my only crystal whisky glass, brought over from Scotland. I went searching yesterday for a replacement around Zurich with no luck.

I tried Coop City, Migros, Globus and even Swarovski but the best I could find were crappy cheap ones made from thick glass.

In fact finding anything made of crystal outside of swarovski was impossible. And Swarovski only had champagne and other stem type glasses.

Any ideas as to where I might find a nice crystal whisky glass?

If its a Whisky glass you want , you can get one from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society in Schonenwerd or on line.
If you want a nice cut glass tumbler we have Touzeau in Geneva or Montreux if you ever get down this way.
They have sales after Christmas as some of the nice ones are erm bank busters !

I had a bit of trouble locating the place on google maps as I don't know the name.


But if you walk up the hill from Bellevue (along the tram 9 and 10 lines) on the left hand side, it's about your second left into where the old streets of Neiderdorf are.

Just in there is a pretty big Scotch and Whiskey shop.

I dare say Crystal scotch tumblers would be an item on sale..... if not, it's still worth a look.

If they don't know where to find whisky glasses, then I'm not sure who can! Go on their "Accessories" part under "Angebot"

The "Whiskey ships" are at the top of the Zurich lake right now.
