I have an old bike that is not worth anything but it is important to me as it is from my childhood. I need to have somebody that knows more than me to regulate and fix the position of the wires for the gears, I messed them up. If somebody knows mechanic won't charge me a brand new bike, it will be good. Thanks

I know a good second hand bike shop and the owner mechanic has very reasonable rates.. but it's in Versoix...maybe a bit far for you?

There is a place on Av. W. Fraisse. Just below the station on the right hand side. The chap there is a bit grumpy but he glued the tyres overnight and did a great job, and didn't charge much.

Otherwise there is a bike shop in Le Pigeon on the corner of the road to Savigny. The chap there is very friendly, speaks great English (if needed) and is very helpful. He has done some work to my husbands bike and he was very happy (husband is a semi pro so demands perfection).

You could take it to Hood's Cycles. They're just below the station on Avenue de Grancy. The owner is English and a great bloke. Because it's a small shop they can charge a lot for parts they have to order in, but for a simple gear adjustment the most he should charge is a new cable and labour so it should be fine.
They can get busy, so you may have to wait a while though..
