Applying for Eth Zurich

Hello Everyone

I would like to study at Ethz for master degree in robotics, system and control. I got my bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Manchester, UK. I was wondering if anyone has applied for Eth Zurich or has any experience that can be helpful. I am especially worried about the GRE bit. The application form states that GRE is highly recommended . I don't know what this means exactly? I took GRE test recently without much preparation and I didn't score quite well to be honest. I mean 1100 in the old system with 4 in writing (I actually ran out of time and didn't manage to finish the test). I don't know how much this will affect my overall application ? Apart from this, my application is quite strong. I actually don't want to put my GRE score in the application form. Any suggestion is appreciated.
