International Women's Day

Dear All,

I do not know if you celebrate or are aware of International Women's Day which is celebrated on the 8th of March every year.

I have been approached by a UK Charity Oxfam and they have asked me if I can have some sort of event on the day to raise some awareness and fundraise for them.

Now as I recently moved here, I have no contacts hence I am reaching out to you to find out if any of you would be interested in coming and helping. What I am thinking is having some coffee and cake morning so what I would need for someone to volunteer a small venue that we can use on the 8th of March for about 2 hours only. I already have a lady who has volunteered to donate some cakes and tea/coffee then we can just donate anything we can to Oxfam on the day.

I look forward to hearing from you if this is of interest to you and I hope someone can help and support this amazing cause.

Thank you.
Lisa

Re: International Women's Day

It is traditional here for the Swiss ladies to march in the streets demanding equal pay. So maybe you should plan the coffee & cakes for the morning, and a nice march to work it all off around 2 pm?

Hi,

Thank you very much. Is this something that happens every year? I will see if I can link up with the people that organise it.
