Hopeful Eyes 2012
Painted at a time of the economic crisis, the artist was only living Switzerland for just over a year and a half and just started to get the hang of Swiss life and the local language "Schwizerdütsch". The painting depicts a hopeful bright future. The colourful hair is thought to refer to the international presence and diversity of the communities around Zürich.
thank you for the insite who knows- you might be better at reading my subconcious than me.........

on a brighter note-it would be called

TROUGH THE FOREST 2012

The painting depicts the child within oneself that had an experiance of the multylayered nature of reality (thus the swirls in the backround- the neverending story)The circle around the head depicts the whol(e)iness that such experiance brings, and the look is upwards (to the sky abowe and creat(or)ion ) , with full intence look of pain

Thankies for having a look

Re: My latest painting- what do you think?:)))

I like the execution, especially in the first girl looking up at the viewer. There's something about the subject of the girl that wants to shout something to you, or maybe it is a little bit like looking inside yourself. Interesting...

I would say (not knowing anything about art, but only judging from the "gut feel" reaction I get from your paintings) that your paintings would speak to a young crowd. Have you considered book illustration? I think your pics would really make books speak directly to young/teenage readers. I dunno, it is just a feel I get of how your subjects seem to speak and try to say something to the viewer, though maybe the viewer doesn't quite know what.

Good luck with your future artistic development!

Re: My latest painting- what do you think?:)))

Yes, all of them try to say something. I mostly like to leave it to the "gut feeling" - as it relates so much deaper to our being (in my opinion)
Younger crowd?
I guess........ I m not sure what that means, as I am 34 my self, and still feel like a teenager in many areas of my aproach to life/behaviour/look......... Personaly I LOVE intence, basic colours that younger ppl are more in touch with.... I also like physical forms that are symbolic of personal freedom, blooming of one self, a crossroads between inocence and ........life.
Thanx a lot for your opinion, I am sure there is something to it

Re: My latest painting- what do you think?:)))

First off I can't paint so anything I say is based on you having clear talent and skill so "chapeau"

My favourite on your site was "grounding"- the colours were less harsh and I liked the composition. Taste is so personal but for me this picture in a way lets the viewer almost place their own interpretation on what it means and the softer colours let me "sink" more into the picture itself.

But you obviously have a great range as Medussa shows lots of detail (not my kind of painting ) while "grounding" is almost more abstract.

Great stuff

An old unfinished painting....

I was very excited by the IDEA of this painting.......It was supposed to be provocative, mind playing (and beautiful) at the same time!!!

I was happy with the background, but I never got to finish the girls form because I couldnt find that something that merges inocence and sensuality....... I put it away and forgot about it.

Today - it surprised me when it poped out! And today I find an apreciacion for it in a new way. I have never shown it to anyone till today

Would LOVE to hear what you see when you look at it and what could it mean to you

MaRyOnTheVirge
-2008-
-oil on canvas-
-aprox. 1 x 1 m-

Thank You!
Mila
