Re: Art gallery owners or managers of !!.......

Some years ago I worked at the medieval priory abbey building in Payerne, Canton Vaud. At the time the famous Swiss artist Hans Erni held an art exhibition there for 5 months. If your friend is interested in the location, I can help him get in touch with the museum's director, M. Bossart.

The building is large and is simple but beautiful inside. It is still consecrated and although church services are held there about 4 times a year, it is open to the public and belongs to the town of Payerne. It would be ideal for a photographic exhibition, if your friend has enough material.

The original abbey was administered by the Cluniac monks, Queen Bertha of Burgundy is buried under the choir,

Re: Art gallery owners or managers of !!.......

Hi Sbrinz...........thanx very much for your reply to my question. I have looked at the information about the Priory and about Hans Erni. It all looks great, my concern would be that my friends art is very contemporary and although his work encompasses many different areas some is quite urban and gritty....... industrial landscapes etc. I just wonder how that fits in with the Priory and their sensibilities ????
