Yes the message is in the right section, but perhaps a subject line that doesn't try to trick people into reading something they may not be interested in would be a little more honest. I'm changing the subject line to make it more relevant. The object is for interested people to read your message, not to get the most number of uninterested "hits" on your post.
I pay my cleaner 30 per hour.

Actually, I resent the fact that you say I was trying to trick people, and that you question my honesty.
It was a simple post, I didn't realise the title was misleading. I post on many forums and have never had a moderator react like that....
Still, sorry I got it wrong.

I wasn't implying that you were dishonest, so I apologise for the inference. I've had a few similiar cases lately and was told things like "I wanted as many people as possible to read my message". Yes, this forum is moderated a little more than some others you may have been on. Hopefully you will appreciate being able to locate information easily - especially when the rate of posts here sometimes hits 400 per day (and growing). I spend a lot of time cleaning up around here, so forgive me if my messages are sometimes short and to the point |

No worries, it must be a difficult job. I'll be more precise in future.
I got the answer to my question, so thanks for that (and Lou as well!) |

I have a friend who'll undercut ALL your prices by 10%. He needs to pay the rent in a couple of weeks. PM me for more! |

I'm hoping to find somebody from the Zug area, as that's where we'll be ending up. I'm going to advertise it at 25CHF and see what happens......

My cleaner has to travel just for a few hours' work, and given the high cost of living in this country I don't think that is underpaid work considering the travel! My neighbour complains that she is too well paid, should be grateful for the money, etc. but I honestly think some of the complainers don't know what it's like to not know where your next meal is coming from...

Hi Guys,
I always thought CHR25 was a decent and standard rate. However, I recently checked with a lawyer friend of mine and was told that in Zürich CHF 33 was the hourly rate for freelance cleaner... I was a little suprised as I did not realise there were minimum wages. But you live, you learn |

My friend was charged over 1600chf for cleaning his 102sqm apartment. He asked the worker lady that actually did the work and she was paid 25chf/hr. I certainly wouldn't pay more than that. As an aside make sure (or be aware!!) that the person you hire has a permit, else you can have a bit of a problem...

Regarding cleaning ladies/men a high amount like to work cash in hand however if you do go through legal channels be sure to check out what your liabilities will be during illness/pregnancy. It can get very expensive as there are little/ no insurance possibilities on the side of the employer. You may find yourself paying someone who is ill for up to two years. This can be avoided by making a contract between yourself and the cleaner. I'm sorry i cant point you to a link but my information comes from the magazine Beobachter.CH and can only be accessed by members.
