Europapark - Shall we go despite rain?

Dear EFers;

I had bought tickets for this Saturday for Europapark.. However we are not lucky seeing to the weather conditions; it will be still raining ( few showers; see http://www.weather.com/weather/weeke...+GMXX3101:1:GM )

I was so excited imagining a lovely sunny day there..

As it is mostly an open-air place; would it be better idea to try to postpone ?

We're going there over the next 2 days. Forecast is changeable, almost all rides will still run in the rain though, but some of the bigger ones will close if thunderstorms are close. An upside of bad weather, less people and shorter queues .

Another perspective

But in case it rains heavily; is there anything to do inside there ?

Eat - pizzas, burgers, ice cream - then go on the big rides.

There are lots of shows, ice skating, horse stunts etc which are slightly undercover, and even a cinema if you are desperate. Indoor play areas, lots of restaurants to enjoy. We've been there in the pouring rain and it didn't dent our enthusiasm at all. Lots of the rides you queue indoors too, so take an umbrella and you don't have to worry about the water rides!

I've been there in the pouring rain. Just take along a rain poncho and enjoy the non-existent lines, even for the biggest rides!

Go! I went with the family just after Easter and the weather was not at its best - Hardly any queuing for any of the rides, restaurants etc

Kids enjoyed themselves more than they have done in previous years when the weather has been good because they could go more rides

Re: Europapark - Shall we go despite rain?

If you go the Europapark you will become totally wet if you ride the water roller coasters, so why not go when it is raining a little bit? Also the weather should not be that worse on the weekend. And like the others said before there are a lot of shows, restaurants, indoor things to do. And if this all not helps they have, how should I call that, whole body dryers to dry yourself?

Re: Europapark - Shall we go despite rain?

I love Europapark, even in bad weather.

To chill out, my favorite place is the bar at the Hotel Colosseum.... totally cool atmosphere. A real Roman feeling.

Re: Europapark - Shall we go despite rain?

Just take a change of clothes for everyone and you'll be fine. Last time we went it chucked it down and we had a great time. My little one always ends up running through the water jets anyway so rain makes no difference for her

Hi,

I was wondering if you had a good trip despite the rain. We are going there tomorrow and the weather is not going to be great. Any tips from your rainy day experience ? Thanks

We've been during the rain. Got a bit damp at times, but not much in the way of queues. Had a great time.
