Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

Hello, just wondering if anyone knows where I could buy Dermalogica (skin care) products in Zurich? I haven't seen any anywhere! I've also been looking out for Aveda (hair products) but haven't found any either :-(
Thanks!!

Dermalogica products are sold in the Globus on Bahnhofstrasse in downtown Zurich. Good stuff!

Re: Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

Hi! I'm a big Aveda fan, and am not willing to stop using it just because I live in Switzerland now. Thankfully, there are a few places you can buy it in Zurich. I always go to Roots hair salon, but it's much more expensive than in the States. I find though, that if I buy the large bottle of shampoo and conditioner, and pay a little extra, it takes me 4 - 5 months to use it (every other day washes). So by the time it's empty, I forget about the price I paid initially!

It's along Tram Line 15 (and maybe another), at Kreuzplatz.

Sorry I can't help you about the Dermalogica products, but if they've got Aveda here, they must have that too! Good Luck!

Re: Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

I also love Aveda products. I found a salon in Wädenswil (a few years back) called Capelli Hair Design, Seastrasse 104 (right by the train station) that sells Aveda products.

And recently I passed by a small Aveda store at Alfred-Escher-Strasse 23 in Zurich. This is the Eddine coiffeur that Amaraya mentioned and it's near Bahnhof Enge.

As for Dermalogica, I have a couple of friends who order from the US (dermstore.com, I think) and I believe the line is sold at Globus on the Bahnhofstrasse.

Fantastic!! Thanks all, that is great. Just wondering, the friend who orders from the States - how does she do this? I haven't found any way of getting things delivered to Switzerland (e.g. Amazon) and if any of them do deliver here, there is a huge tax whacked on that makes it just as expensive as buying here.

Re: Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

There is a website I sometimes use
http://www.lookfantastic.net/

It is a UK based site and does free worldwide delivery on all its products. They sell Aveda products and Dermatologica.
As long as you do not go over the limit, you will not be charged tax.
Having said that, most Dermatologica products cost above the limit anyway
but you could certainly get your Aveda hair products (maybe by ordering one thing at a time).

The other website I use for beauty products/ toiletries is this one
www.feelunique.com

Again, a UK based site with free worldwide delivery.
They don't sell the two brands you are after, however.

Using these two sites, I manage to buy myself far too many 'treats' and kid myself they are essentials

The only thing is, neither site is particularly fast with shipping (but I can live with that cos the variety, compared to what you can buy here is HUGE).

Re: Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

I order a lot of things (including Dermalogica products) through eBay.

Many of the sellers on eBay offer international shipping for very reasonable rates. In fact, I've found that a lot of the int'l shipping rates on eBay tend to be much more reasonable than if I were to buy from regular online stores.

And if you have a Paypal account, then paying with a foreign credit card won't be a problem.

Re: Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

oh that is so disappointing ... I can't think why not.
I wondered if it was a shipping restriction, but according to their website, only Paul Mitchell and Benefit products are restricted to certain countries......Oh gosh, I got your hopes up...maybe e-mail the company and ask why? I have received packages from them with no problems...

Re: Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

Hmm Ebay might be my next try. Yep it all looked good with that website and they didn't give a reason for not being able to ship to my address :-( Strange but that's a good idea to email them to ask :-) Might be something simple

She orders from someplace called the Dermstore.com and, as far as I know, she's pretty happy with them.

Another option would be to place an order from the US and have it shipped to a shipping service, and they can forward it to you here. You can even combine shipments. There are several services, I used one called Bongo International. They're a bit expensive, but everything arrived okay. Even with fees, tax, you might still end up paying less than if you'd bought the items here.

FWIW, I've ordered stuff from Amazon.com and other sites in the US since I've lived here (seven years) and have never had a problem having things delivered here. On the amazon orders, I've never paid any tax either. For clothing, shoes, etc. I've paid a bit of tax, but for something that's not available here at all or astronomically priced, it's worth it.

Re: Dermalogica and Aveda products in Zurich?

I ordered from here http://buy.dermalogica.de and had it delivered here http://www.las-burg.de

Incredibly fast service and reasonably priced.

Example
€58 for 100ml active moist, compared to CHF77 from here http://dermalogica.ch
