You've told them about your restrictions, yes? Otherwise it may ruin their night inadvertently, if they've put a lot of planning in and only find out that you won't play along on the night.
I did and they said they will ignore me. Well too bad for them :P

I want to remember my hens night and i dont want to wake up the next day feeling like s*** and wishing it never happened

You lucky, lucky barstewards ...... the lot of you.

It would have been nice to have had the opportunity for a stag night.

Back in the day before iSmart androids, when message pagers were de rigueur, I received a beep and vibrate as I was whizzing around LA, about mid-morning, informing me that I shouldn't finish late, as we had a 7.00(pm) slot at the home of a lay preacher, up in the Bel Air hills.

So, we jumped on my trusty steed, and sped up there .... and that was that.

I've been making up for my lack of stag night ever since, though.

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

I felt that getting married over forty ought not involve L-plates, deely-boppers and vomiting tequila. At my age, that's not rock 'n' roll, it's rough as rats.

Instead, a group of about twelve of us, including one of my best male mates, had a picnic in Hyde Park, dinner at The Ivy (at which we played The Laminated List game - my mother shocked us all by putting Eddie Izzard on hers), and a Sunday brunch in Blackheath (where we'd all remembered one other person we just had to add to The List). It was a gorgeous weekend to remember and I felt terrific afterwards.

How did/would/will you celebrate the end of your single life? Any traditions or crueleties which are worth telling?
We went to my future MIL's funeral the day before, does that count?

Travelling so far for a couple of days just to get blind drunk, vomit and *iss everywhere, scream your head off and behave like a twit with vowel change- what is the point
Indeed, especially when you can do exactly the same at home!

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

So i had mine yesterday. I didnt need to stress about stuff. It was very tame. Not sure its the right word but you get the point.

We met at a bar with a nice decorated table and i was made to wear a tiara with a veil and hold a bouquet that i was not allowed to put down at all. In the end i just gave up and put it under my dress strap but it was acceptable

We had sushi and champagne and played all those normal hens party games like 'i have never....' and i opened my gifts (yes i did get some funny condoms in case you are wondering)

My challenge of the night was to get some guys underwear. After asking the guys who were with us for them and being told no, i just stopped trying. Im not going to go to some stranger and ask him for his underwear! We did manage to get a guy take his top off though

Then we had some cake and we went to a club and i was home by 4.

We ended up being 6 girls and 6 guys. Pretty quiet and not crazy at all.

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

My brother had the ultimate poker tournament with his friends - started at 6pm, ended at 8am the next day, drinking beer and other refreshments of choice, smoking Cuban cigars, and playing, and playing...He said he loved it, but in all honesty he didn't look too good when he came home in the morning

Didn't they recently make a film about what you should do on a stag night? Involved going to las vegas, taking drugs and having one of the party kidnapped...
