How did/would/will you do it?

Currently sitting in my little store in the Niederdorf, watching people go by and once again wondering about all the stag and hen parties which are going on here every weekend.
It seems, Zurichians don't have any better ideas than dressing up in not very well fitting costumes, go to the Niederdorf and ask strangers for money.
A bit outside of Zurich they just drink more but they just don't seem to be very inventive.

So my question is:
How did/would/will you celebrate the end of your single life? Any traditions or crueleties which are worth telling?

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

Stag and hen 'dos' have gone really stupid! Friends of my sil recently went for 3 days to Las Vegas just to get *issed. Nonsense! And they are making the life of many towns a misery- despite bringing much needed money. Like Barcelona, Budapest, Warsaw, etc. Travelling so far for a couple of days just to get blind drunk, vomit and *iss everywhere, scream your head off and behave like a twit with vowel change- what is the point

I spent the night before my wedding at my sister's house, all I can remember about it is reading a bedtime story to my nephew.

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

In NZ they have these cool party buses one is called The Tigeress and the other is called Night Prowler. The Tigeress is all decked out in tiger print and both buses have a licensed bar on board with dance floor and dance poles as well

You can have topless waiters serve you your drinks

I would hire both these buses and start with a lovely wine trail (I would have a combined stag and hen do) and then cruise around town, doing some sightseeing.

Then I head back home and have a nice spit roast dinner and cocktails, everyone would be in fancy dress costume of course.....and if its summer time would want to do some jelly wrestling hehehe. I did think at first vodka jelly wrestling ........but then that would be a waste of vodka.

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

My husband thought he would have a sedate camping weekend with a few mates that somehow ended with him being thrown in a bonfire (apparently a misunderstanding about what the actual plan was) and his best man being chucked in a lake. My hens night was much more successful but ended up with al of us sitting around the television in Australia watching the live coverage of lady Di dying in a car accident. Weird night all round!!

wifey didn't like the four hours unaccounted for?
I especially like the workshop and paintball and think, that a stripper does belong to it in a way, no?

Hen night out for an Indian followed by a leery night on the lash around the Niederdorf.

Home by 9 (the next morning).

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

A friend of mine was recently kidnapped from his doorstep at 07:00am for his stag weekend and only allowed to bring his toothbrush and passport, they had a suitcase for him full of clothes they had purchased from charity shops. He was for sure the worst dressed person in Latvia that weekend, but the had a blast apparently ..

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

Ok guys now you are scaring me.

Im having mine in a couple of weeks and all i know is that it will include a (male) strip club.

My friends think they are going to get me drunk and make me wear stupid outfits. Little do they know. I dont drink and if they dont answer my questions with something else that "just do it its your hen night" they will be dissapointed

Spoilsport? Maybe but i dont think you need to get drunk and do stupid stuff to have fun. We will see soon anw. Ill let you know

PS. Some male friends will come as well but there is a rule for them to follow. And no they wont be the strippers

We actually met up with some friends and our younger relatives in a bar. It wasn't really the typical thing. I got tired, my sister took me home early and I got a good night's sleep. The advantages of a really small wedding.

You've told them about your restrictions, yes? Otherwise it may ruin their night inadvertently, if they've put a lot of planning in and only find out that you won't play along on the night.

Re: How did/would/will you do it?

I spent the night before my wedding at a carol concert as it was December. It was great fun singing traditional carols followed by a mug of hot chocolate, then off to bed with my then faithful houndat the foot of the bed.

Stag/hen parties were not in vogue then and to be honest I cannot understand the concept of getting so drunk that you can't remember what happened.

My optician recently took his girlfriend for a romantic weekend to Prague and told me that the whole weekend was totally ruined by the antics of these "stags" and "hens". He advised me to go midweek if I wanted to visit.
