Any Fishing forums in English for Swiss fishing?

Have been here (Zurich) for about 6 months now and itching to go fishing. I have scoured this forum but did not find the information I was looking for. Hoping someone can advise. Thanks in advance!

1. I understand that fishing with natural bait is fine for Zurich lake from the banks except dead fish. Is fly fishing okay?

2. Where in the world can one fish from the banks here? It seems they are either crowded with bathers, or they are private properties. Can someone please point me in the correct direction? I am desperate enough to use Google Earth to try to spot any potentially good spots!

3. Hence asking if there are any fishing forums here where I can piggy back on some fishing trips to get me started. I have hiked a couple of mountains and the lakes up there look beautiful.

4. Is it worth doing the fishing test and getting the license?

Btw, I do not fly fish. I was planning on using a fly on spinning gear. I am mostly a saltwater fisherman.

To get a fishing permit, you need to take a short course and an exam. This is not necessary for day permits - ask your Commune, they will have all the details. Not sure where you are from, but things are very different here and highly regulated.

Thanks. I did "fish" around here, but most of the information was rather old, and they did not address most of my questions. For starters, I was looking at folks who actually found it worth it (or not) to take the exams, suggestions on places where I can fishing along the Zurich lake bank (because I could not from Hoergen to Wollishofen), and if anyone has found a bunch of fishos living around here. Anyway, I do not yet have my tackle here. I will be buying some tackle. Specifically Tenkara tackle. Going to try it.

There are always people fishing in the lake around Richterswil I did see a fishing shop yesterday, by the Esso on Seestrasse in Au, so they might be worth talking to
