Classes / courses for English speakers

Hi everyone,

I'm quite new to Chur, Switzerland. I was wondering if anyone knows a place where English speakers could take classes of interest. For example it could be drawing or cooking for example. I know that the migros school offers something in fact lots of courses but sure if you'd require to know German already. If anyone knows a place let me know! Thanks :-)

You might try the International Women's clubs. In Zurich there are ZIWA http://www.ziwa.com/ and AWCZ http://awczurich.org/ Perhaps there is a similar group in Chur?
The art supply store Zumstein has a drawing & painting course in English.
And your international school might have evening courses for the community...the one in Zurich does this. Good Luck.

Re: Classes / courses for English speakers

Hello!

Thanks so much for your help! Unfortunately because I don't live in Zurich, it makes it rather difficult to take classes there. Taking German once a week is enough and gets expensive with the train. If anyone does happen to hear about classes to take in Chur this would be ideal. Thanks again for your help :-)

I just signed up for a German course that was proposed by the woman at the immigration office, she had lots of info on everything "to do" to help one get to know others and get integrated. All kinds of evening courses and such.
Have you had to have a meeting with the immigration office yet?
