Electronic components and supplies, where to buy?

Heyo,

One of my dossier skills is being a Class 3 certified tech. I'm trying to find a place that sells electronic components and supplies. Discrete parts like capacitors, IC's and the like. Thru-hole or surface mount, whatever. Somewhere around the Chur area and outskirts.

Bought a soldering station from Weber but that place is more industrial. Was surprised they had that with tips down to 0.8mm.

Stuff I'm looking for is an antistatic grounding mat (industrial one, not a folding portable style), soldering tip conditioner, etc.

Any ideas would be awesome.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, Conrad is good for that and other stuff.

Otherwise, I get stuff through our suppliers.

Distrelec is huge, but they have a minimum order of €100 and you need to pay in advance,

In Zürich, I would get them at Pusterla.

Since there doesnt seem to be a Radio Shack around, where does one buy relays?

Maybe eBay... I am electrical engineer and buy most of my components (for hobby stuff) from there. Very few surprises so far. Not sure if I'd buy equipement there, so also check Conrad. BTW, they give you a 5chf discount coupon if you subscribe to their newsletter

Re: Electronic components and supplies, where to buy?

If you want small amounts, I can always get you some stuff through work (legally, I pay them, you pay me).

Also for stuff from Distrelic, Farnell, etc. (we just add it to our monthly order to get you above the minimum)

Conrad for sure, biggest place around Zürich (store in Dietlikon... I go all glassy eyed when I go in there)

Their catalog is huge

PS: must put away my soldering iron, still on the lounge floor...
