Scholarships from Cantons??

Hello!

I'm half Swiss and American and I am doing my Master's degree in Lausanne. I heard that you can apply for financial aid from your canton of origin for school. The only problem is my canton of origin is Appenzell Outer-Rhoden and I don't speak any German or Swiss/German.

Has anyone heard about this scholarship type thing and know the process of requesting it? I've looked at their website but can't really find anything or anyone to contact.

I really need to learn German :P

Re: Scholarships from Cantons??

They have social workers at UNIL, in the Unitheque building if I'm not mistaken. Go see them and they'll tell you everything you need to know, it's their job.
