First World Issues - Domestic White Goods...
We recently moved house and the standard specification included Miele appliances throughout....washing machine, tumble drier (almost wrote "tumbler" - I've been here too long!) and dishwasher.
We usually wouldn't pay those prices but thought - hey, why not? They are supposed to be great, we've already sort of paid for them, they are pretty high spec, let's do it. So we did.
And I have to say - they are freaking amazing. They do all sorts of sexy and incredible things. I can control them over my iPad from anywhere in the world through Miele@home, the washing machine and drier have setting for like...anything (trainers, pillows, duvets, jumpers, sportswear, babies etc), you don't need to dose your detergent - you just fill a reservoir thing and it automatically doses, the dishwasher is fully automatic and opens the door a little when finished so if you go away, it won't get all funky smelling inside. Super cool gadgetry and I would recommend that anybody who likes those things should buy them.
Tiny detail. They clean absolutely bugger all though. Worst dishwasher I ever owned. We need to clean stuff before we put it in. Washing machine doesn't wash stuff and dryer leaves things wet.
But hey - at least I can monitor the crap performance from a hotel lobby in Manila should I choose to.
