Re: Xmas sales? Shopping fav points? Macha tea?

How about after-Christmas sales? My plan is to get ornaments and Christmas decorations for 50% off after Christmas, but as this is Switzerland, and nothing is ever 50% off (except rotting vegetables at Migros), is my plan foolhardy?

I must be going to completely different places to all of you lot then. loads of shops around here have sales on already and there are plenty of things with 50% off.

Shops will be open on Sunday in Zürich - by that time last year christmas decorations were already reduced.

Re: Xmas sales? Shopping fav points? Macha tea?

I don't know how offtopic it is, but I was really bummed out by not being able to find any leaf tea in Zurich supermarkets.

True, I haven't really checked all of them, just 3 or 4, but the choice of teas is appalling. "Drink ya bagged Lipton and shuddup!"

I am not looking for the 3000 bucks per 100 grams stuff, but I was at least expecting some run-off-the-mill greens, whites, puers and decent Earl Gray. None were found.

Is there some underground shop with a secret code word for entry, where all the people buy their tea in Zurich?

Re: Xmas sales? Shopping fav points? Macha tea?

i am completely and utterly confused here. we have 50% off sales all over here and not only have i seen leaf tea in grocery stores here but we have a few smalls tea shops as well, i would look more closely, i can't believe that lausanne and neuchatel have anything that zurich doesn't
