How to dispose knives / sharpeners?

Hello eveyone,

I was serching about disposing, rubbish, garbage but did not find a solution/advice on how to dispose unused knives and/or sharpeners. I don't dare to put it in normal garbage!!

I live in Basel. In the disposal calendar did not mention about this clearly, I am not sure if they are considered as Household Metal like pots, pans?

Thanks in advance for advice.

Treat them like household metal and if you have a disposal center then that is also an option

Why not?

Wrap the blade a few times in cardboard. But otherwise, yes the recylcing point for metal vs a small weight based fee (here at least).

Finally try selling on EF for 80% of their original price.
