Refrigerator Side by Side

Does anyone have a recommendation for a side by side refrigerator? I need to replace my 8 year old Bauknecht.

I have an open floor plan and have read that several are noisy. Samsung and LG seem to be the two that run the quietest.

Any feedback is welcome.

Thanks

We have this one and we absolutely love it. Not loud at all.

When you decide to buy, you are best to order via a store on Toppreise.ch The prices will be much better than any "bricks and mortar" store.

Here is the link to the fridge/freezer section. You can go through all the pages or you can select the brand directly. This is the Bauknecht page with some of their side by side models

We used this site to buy all of our appliances and we had no issues at all with delivery and saved a ton when you compared the prices we paid with the prices our kitchen designer quoted us.

Re: Refrigerator Side by Side

I've recently bought a Samsung Side-by-side after weeks and weeks of research. What doesn't help is the bewildering array of model numbers, slight differences in availibility across Europe and the fact that in CH you can only now get fridges with A++ rating.

Anyway, one of the best deals I found was in Conforma of all places, its quite high end and looks gorgeous with stainless steel finish. It dispenses filtered water as well as ice cubes and crushed ice. I bought its slightly bigger brother, the RSG 5 PCR with 628l (from Germany)

Re: Refrigerator Side by Side

I just bought a Samsung RS7768FHCSP from MediaMarkt. I just nervously looked at toppreise.ch and happily found that I had not overpaid

If buying online, check what the delivery includes if you are not on the ground floor. I paid for MediaMarkt to deliver the new FF and take away the old one. Four men struggled to get the old one out, and decided to bring the new one in through the garden for easier (straighter) steps. I learned new Swiss German words that day (when they thought they were out of earshot!!)

It's pretty quiet - we also have open plan living area, and I mostly don't notice it....however the sound of ice dropping into the collector bucket sometimes makes me jump :P

Re: Refrigerator Side by Side

Thanks everyone. Just ordered one from Media Markt.
They can order several different brands that are not in the store.
