First of all sorry if this is the wrong place for the thread. but I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Buchmann Direct Electronics http://www.buchmann.ch ? its an online seller like digitec.

they seem to offer good deals and I was interested in a large item, however they did not have the price online and have a note, please contact us for a special price with options for email or phone

So I sent an email asking about a price of the item and they replied to my email saying the item is in stock they have a special offer on it and asking me to call them to hear the special price!

I found this strange, why do I need to call? why did they not simply give me the price in their reply to email asking for the price?

And before someone says "just call them" I am planning to do that but found the reply email strange hence the thread about other people's experience with them.

Have dealt with them in the past, tried to order something online but my card wouldn't go through, so opted for store pick-up, and was able to pick it up the same day.

Had no problems with them so far.

During business hours, their email-replies seem to be very fast.
I ordered my food-processor from them (500 CHF). Ordered Saturday, ZKB sent the money out on Monday, machine arrived Tuesday.
I wanted to see the store, but had no time. But the simple fact that they do have a store and a warehouse and usually a price in the top 5 makes them a good choice IMO.

To give some contrast, just had a very bad one:
