Well I would suggest in your case you call a couple of law firms in the region, get a feel of how they treat you and their language skills. Then ask for a quote - at least per hour and what kind of retainer they ask for.

Additionally ask them about their experience in your cases - if they feel they can not take your case ask for a recommendation. If you do not feel confident or comfortable - choose another one.

I am an Englishman who is living in Monaco and London. I have a request to contract a lawyer for the purpose of recovery of money from my ex-fiance who is Swiss and lives in Zurich.

I am eager to serve notice for the return of SFrs 50000 which was expropriated.
