I almost "groaned" you for that comment.

As a barbecue purist, a Canadian who grills 365 days a year, rain, snow, sleet or hail, there is no substitute for gas. [snip]...I prefer the ease of spark-fired-internal-combustion - be that for cars or grills.
Some people also swear Nespresso make the best coffee, also praising its ease of use.

They may even call themselves coffee-lovers...

See where I'm going with this?

Either way, we should have more BBQs Roll on the warmer afternoons and evenings.

Re: barbecue grill

Try any of the larger FUST stores. They have a quite a few American Style BBQ`s. Last year I got a real nice one 500 or 700 CHf off the regular price. I believe I ended up paying 900 CHF . Double burners with warmers etc. Similiar to the Weber style . It was a good deal as a similiar one in the States runs to approx 400 - 500 dollars.

Re: barbecue grill [Where can I buy one?]

I'm looking to buy a Weber Performer with the gas starter.

Keiser shop listed above is the best price but he doesn't have any in stock, and when i've asked him he just keeps saying "in a few days time/next week".

It's paining me to see such beautiful weather and not being able to cook a monster BBQ.

Any idea where might have one in stock in Zürich or the Zurcher Oberland?

Re: barbecue grill [Where can I buy one?]

We are going to buy our new bbq from Jumbo, it is so big, and you can even flip one of the sides up, and there is a place to put a pan on, and cook vegatables it needs 2 gas bottles, but god i am in love with this machine.

I would recommend Jumbo because they have the best selection i have seen around

They don't stock Weber unfortunately, and I want a charcoal grill.

The best Gas grill I have seen is the Electrolux one although it is a little pricey at 8000chf.

We got one from Migros ("Grillmaster" or something like that) and even do very good Yorkshire Puddings on (or in) it.

I can just imagine it. Deciding whether I wanted to chase them now or in 45 minutes as they are just about to make it to the end of the street.

Hello outdoor grillmasters...where near Zurich or Lucerne is a good place to buy a gas grill? There doesn't seem to be specialty stores for this--I'm looking for a really nice quality stainless portable grill and will spend up to 1000 CHF for it. Any tips? I found a website with the brand Grillmaster...they look nice but since I can't actually see them in person i don't know the quality. Any tips will help. thanks everyone.
Easier to ask where CAN'T you buy one.

Okay, here are three possibilities for you:

1. This website and associated stores

2. Kusterman in Munich which stocks them

3. The Weber distributor for Switzerland (well, for Zurich anyway) - 052 244 02 50

Re: barbecue grill [Where can I buy one?]

If you ask in Fust they will order you in the weber grill you want even if they don't have it in stock - though they do seem to sell out for the year - we had to wait until this year as the one we wanted was sold out last year.....(had an old one so wasn't too bad - still managed to grill / burn our dinners!)
