Re: Grout cleaning - magic tricks?

ok we have the same our bathroom is horrible and from the 60's/70's and the grout makes me feel like it's a public restroom

so every once in a while i mix up baking soda, vinegar warm water and lavender oil and spray on the grout, tiles and all scrub it with the cinderella brush and leave it over night. next morning i wash it a few time (the baking soda really sticks) and it's get really white. great! but the minute it gets wet, humid, etc (i.e all the time as it's a bathroom) it gets grey again

so it works but constant humidity makes it constantly grey

Re: Grout cleaning - magic tricks?

6 years after my original reply on this thread.... no change. The grout is still dark. We just ignore it. Problem solved.

Re: Grout cleaning - magic tricks?

I use cream cleaner on a toothbrush then spray the floor with Cillit Bang before washing. The smell knocks me sideways so I'm thinking of investing in a small hand held steam cleaner for the bathroom only. Can't use it anywhere alse as we have geothermal underfloor heating and steam would buckle the wooden flooring.

Re: Grout cleaning - magic tricks?

Try this one- https://www.lithofin.com/fr-ch/produ...-enleve-ciment

Have used tons of this solution last year for a project with 529 bathrooms, be careful to download the instruction, as it quite toxic, have to write risk assessment to use on-site.

Please, what is "cream cleaner"?

As to Cillit Bang, not just the smell but the particles knocked a friend so far sideways that she nearly died from acute shutting down of the lungs, so that poison ain't coming anywhere near my home, no, thank ye.

Re: Grout cleaning - magic tricks?

First cars, now the grout between tiles. This cleaning obsession shows swiss genes must present through the whole human population.

Do not try to whiten coloured grout. It is coloured for a reason. By all means use diluted bleach to disinfect it. For therapy one can paint it with a sealant - the artistic possibilities must be endless.

Re: Grout cleaning - magic tricks?

The problem is that in the kitchen and bathrooms, even if you do manage to scrub the grout clean, it's back to it's original state within a week. So what's the use?

After a week?
My fugues are grey. And I don't even give them special treatment.
