Isn't there an elephant in the room here? I.e. the concept of a bathroom floor covering that can be trivially dissolved by a common bodily effluent.
What else did the genius architect do in this building? Load-bearing walls made of meringue? There's a job waiting for this rocket scientist at the SNB.

To be honest, I don't think that if a man is sitting while peeing, he is less of a man! So...I am not sure I get the point of this thread.
This thread reminded me of something- Urinella- So that women can pee standing!! http://www.ladyp.de/ONLINEbestellung...3/Default.aspx
Then they give some reasons why you should use it, which I find ridiculous to be honest, like if you have a foot operation and you can't sit.Well, then if you have to go nr. 2 then what do you do? Defecate in your napkin while standing?? I find this tool idiotic.

Both of them are Shia Muslims (in name only ) as they drink alcohol on a regular basis and they neither pray nor observe Ramadan... | | | | | maybe it's arabs, i read that it's written in the quran, maybe it's because of their garments which don't make it easy to do it standing, in fact i haven't seen any pisoir in arabia. I guess that some cultural things in religion have to be taken in the context of the time and location it was written, even practicant muslims probably don't follow every rule.

I would agree with cleaning up after yourself though. I certainly don't like a urine-splattered floor or bowl.
That's why a couple of posts in this thread have hinted at the joys of pissing in the sink - it really could have been designed for that purpose! (Just like the masturbation thang - there are two kinds of men; those who have ever pissed in the sink and liars...).

Perhaps for marathon runners too. Otherwise I agree.

I usually put 4 pieces of paper on the toilet seat and sit in a certain position! But if it is really dirty, like pee on the floor...I do not use it anymore and hold myself until I get home! Oh wait...maybe I need that Urinelle thing- to use it when I go to public toilets and I don't want to sit .

So here we go- sample is only 21 men at the party, aged 4 to 82- unanimous, all stand. And for my enquiry on UK only site, unanimous too, all stand apart from at night in the dark, so 100% stand.
This makes EF male population a bit un-usual to say the least, but hey ho | The following 3 users would like to thank for this useful post: | |

I believe "pussywhipped" is the correct term.

So was UK toilet paper in the 70s- IZAL i think it was called- you had to really scrunch it up first Can anyone remember that dreadful stuff. Some of us are old enough to remember the casy, basically a wooden box with a round hole and a lid- with newspaper cuttings for paper hanging at the side on a piece of string . A friend of mine here had a double one- how very Roman and good for having a good natter in comfort!

A German friend explained a couple of German insults to me. One of them was 'Sitzpinkler' - 'sit down pee-er' as an insult to a wimp. But German insults tend to be funny and hypocritical because sitzplink is normal and encouraged in Germany. Kind of like someone calling you a 'fart' as an insult but we all know everybody farts!
To stand or sit? Depends where you are.

Conservation of energy. Never stand up when you can sit down. And never sit down when you can lie down. | | | | | I follow this rule religiously

I believe "pussywhipped" is the correct term. | | | | | Dunno about anyone else, but I've never been asked to sit down to pee by anyone. Why you should think that it's a sign of being under the thumb I have no idea. Or is it some sort of logical extension on your part from the "don't leave the seat up" thing? (Which I've also never had first-hand experience of).
Reasons to sit, for any given man, may include some or all of (in no particular order):
1. No need to switch on the light in the middle of the night.
2a. No need to aim.
2b. No messy spills, like if you try 2a while standing.
2c. Peeing when pissed - avoid those splashed trousers and shoes you'd get from 2b
3. Button fly jeans - much easier to redo if you undo the belt as well, so much less faffing if you just sit.
4. Much more relaxed. Catch up on your reading.
5. Sharts are no longer a problem.
6. Get rid of that last annoying drop that sometimes wets your pants just after you've zipped up.
Any other good reasons? And any pee-standers like to counter this list?
