Where can I get my kitchen fixed?

Hi guys, I have a small flat in Basel and the kitchen is one of these old kitchen. The metal plates of the stove are rusty and greasy, and I would love to fix them. How could I fix them? are there "kitchen men" that can do this? I would do this at my own cost, as the issue is more aesthetic than functional. Thank you for any tips!

It may even be something you could do yourself ...... but a picture paints a thousand words. (Do you mean the actual hot plates of an electric cooker? - if so, then I think there are products especially for cleaning and renovation).

To locate an appliance repair shop, search yellow.local.ch for "Haushaltsgeräte Service", location "Basel":

http://yellow.local.ch/de/q/Basel/Ha...20Service.html

At amazon.de you can find cooktop burner cleaning fluid (Kochplatten Reiniger) and also replacement burners (Kochplatte Ersatzteil). You might try cleaning the burners first before replacing them.

It's apparently, not a repair issue.

If it's just a case of deep cleaning the cooking hot plates, the OP will end up paying 50 - 100 chufs (if lucky), just to get someone out and ring the doorbell - then they'll probably get the normal head shaking and tut-tut-tutting, "nuffin' doin' here, guv - you need a new cooker" treatment.

No, they're much better investing a few chufs in a couple of bottles of product, a pair of Marigolds and an hour of their time (like I did last night)
