Re: Maisons du Monde - online shopping
I have bought most of my furniture through them, from their online French website. If I remember correctly (two years ago), all prices were in EUR but you would eventually get a reimbursement of the French VAT. The Swiss customs was dependent on a truck driver, and I could never figure out the rates charged (but it never went over 7-8% if I remember correctly).
It worked pretty fine - but of course with some usual hassles. Often the site would show you delivery time 3-5 weeks to be doubled at the payment, or even after the payment was made. My two sofas took like seven weeks to arrive despite the site informing three (though they did send me a letter saying that this is due to their moving of business 'from China back to France, to ensure quality...'....lol).
On quality, mostly I am satisfied, but the sofas are not as good as I would expect (if compared let's say to Pfister).
I suppose it is also possible to order from their Swiss site, and frankly can't remember why I did not use them, but used French instead. Probably they didn't have sofa I wanted.
They have a store in CH, near Aubonne, Litoral center.
