That is exactly the sort of stuff I read. Shame, because they have some nice things that I have not seen elsewhere. But maybe I just need to look harder. Eek!

Actually, the piece I am looking at says the wood is from Vietnam. It also says it's "in stock" and delivery would be under 2 weeks. Still a bad idea?

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

I ordered a few things from them and it worked quite well. A day after placing the order I was contacted about an armchair no longer being available. I then cancelled the sofa as well and got confirmation of that. They still tried to deliver the sofa and I refused to accept delivery which was fine-driver checked with his supervisor and sofa never left the van. All in all quite uneventful and no probs with the furniture as such or billing.

So update on my experience...I decided to go forward anyway, and I had a very positive experience. The piece was delivered in less than 10 days, super efficient, and I love it! So maybe I was lucky or they are upping their game. I am happy I took the chance.

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

it is an old topic but I decided to jump in. I have ordered two items from them - a night lamp and a TV stand. The quality of both was nice, certainly better that IKEA, however the TV stand arrived with missing component, required for the assembly, which is a bit of a bummer. Anyway, I dropped them an email and I am waiting for a response.
They deliver with DPD, who decided to drop the TV stand package in from of the apartment building's door to wait for my arrival and did not bother to take it back to their pickup center.

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

Very disappointed form their service. I received my order with a missing assembly component. I sent them a complaint order for a replacement component. They did not really acknowledge my request with an email or any sort of indication that they are working on it. I had to call them 5 times to clear things out. In two-three weeks they sent the replacement package. It consisted of all assembly components EXCEPT for what I am missing, although I explicitly told them what I need. Now when I try to raise a complaint (again) through their website for the product I have ordered, I can't, simply because I already complained about it. I do not know about you, but I have no intention of ordering from them again

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

We have a table from them, it looks good, the size is accurate, quality of table top is good, delivery was quick and tho I ordered as "drop in front of the door", they carried it in to where I wanted. However the legs are not straight, when looking on the small side they go inwards at the bottom (3cm diff), the legs themselves are good it is the construction itself causing this. don't want to go over the hassle of sending it back since we decided on this table with already the plan to buy a new one when the kid stops jamming random objects in it...

6 chairs along, and one of those has after a few months of normal use the back loose and I can move it freely 30 cm back and forth, send a mail last week. No reply yet.

For the rest, table had a lot of oilstains, but such might be normal and they should disappear over time (I hope), the filling of the chairs I needed to put back under the covering since it stuck out on a bunch of places, and my wife cracked one of the seats while leaning on it wih one knee (she below 80 KG)

So will we order again? Well if we want cheap temporarily stuff they are to me still better than IKEA, if we want things that should last I rather pay more and go elsewhere.

You will probably wont get any good customer support because they use to fire a lot of people from time to time...

I even remember one ocassion that 100 or something were fired at once from the company, and even one tried to punch one of the directors or so...

So, yeah, if a company keeps firing people they will never get to know enough from the company to solve properly the problems, just my 2 cents...

Anyone ordered from home24.ch?

Hi everyone. If you have ordered furniture from the company home24, I am curious about your experience with their delivery process. My building is accessible from the road, but of course, parking is limited. Also, we have no lift, only a winding staircase - not necessarily narrow, but also not an easy climb. I would like to order a couch...

Re: Anybody bought furniture from home24.ch

Substandard and unprofessional: ordered and paid a sofa in September and despite promises to have in December (in written) only with a fight got it in May (!!). No apology no regrets. Those who mounted the sofa must be back to fix it: it does not transform in a bed and it falls apart when you try to transform it. It cannot fully be used even upon delivery!!! The worst service on the planet. Most irresponsible, sloppy, and careless. Avoid at all costs

Ordered this: https://www.home24.ch/de/produkt/hig...farbig-1637294

Wanted something different in our Hallway. Arrived within 2 weeks no issues. But I guess from reading here not always the case. Guess try them for an item and see...

Actually, after making contact with them, I got that feeling from them. In addition to that, they had way too many recent bad reviews. I can forgive a few of those, but I'm hesitant when there are as many as they had.

I decided to take a pass on ordering anything from them.

home24 - new thread

Hi all
The last reports about buying furniture from home24 are from 4-5 years ago, so I thought I would ask again.

Has anybody any recent experience buying furniture from Home24?

4 years ago, they didn't get glowing reviews. Any improvement?

thanks!

Why didn't you just wake up one of the old threads? Would make more sense to me.
Might to the mods too and they will merge them.

Re: home24 - new thread

While they merge them, I might as well answer here.

I got a nice, round kitchen table from them some 2.5 years ago, and it was an uneventful transaction. The quality was at par with the price (it was not cheap but it was below from the average Swiss furniture store prices for the size), and it was delivered on time (they promised something like 2 weeks, and it was a few days earlier than that). The surface of the table is very prone to marks, and it chipped quite easily, but I honestly wouldn't expect a premium table for whatever I paid (probably around 300 bucks).

Re: Anybody bought furniture from home24.ch

Two points...
1. They have a physical store in Zürich where you can look at some of their products and they advise / sell to you. The sales person also addressed their bad reviews, but I don't remember what he said.
2. I ordered two children's beds from them a few years ago and had no problems.

I bought a bed and desk from them last month. Both were good quality and everything went smoothly.

Re: Anybody bought furniture from home24.ch

We ordered something one year ago (Sideboard Carina). We were absolutely not in a hurry, and we did not bother when the delivery date slipped the first time. And the second. But the third time more than two months had passed and they kept saying "another 7 weeks" or so. Then we decided to cancel the order.

The following process was weird, with the status of the order randomly changing on the website. Long story short, at some point we got the money back, and a couple of days later we got an automatic email saying that our order was delayed again, and would take an additional 7 weeks.

Delivery time not being a big deal, I felt completely unsure about my order, or even about us actually having one. I would never order from them again.

Re: Anybody bought furniture from home24.ch

We have ordered a wardrobe (Kleiderschrank) from Home24.de. To be on the safe side, we decided to pay the hefty fees to let the professionals of Home24.de deliver and assemble the wardrobe for us (Order number 1007923223).

On the 22.09.2020, two "professionals of home24.de" delivered the wardrobe and took SIX hours to mount it. After six hours of hesitation, doubting, trying, and assembling, then demounting, and trying again, they finally said the wardrobe is ready and left.

The wardrobe is supposed to be real wood (Massivholz) and of high quality. Immediately after the assemblers of home24.de left, we tried to open the doors and drawers of the wardrobe and we realized the catastrophe. The doors literally touch the ceiling and cannot be easily closed. The drawers move awkwardly and do not follow their normal path. The back of the wardrobe is literally detached!

We paid 1088 euros for this wardrobe and its delivery and assembly. And the result is nothing short of SHAMEFUL.

Despite many emails and phone calls to the very lame and unprofessional home24.de, we got nowhere. Home24.de, very unprofessionally, refused to take back the wardrobe, refused to refund us, and refused to fix it!

And there we are. We have paid a thousand euros for a wardrobe that we can't use, we can't close the doors, and its back is detached and whatever we put in it is not protected from dust!

What a shame home24.de. The lamest customer-service I have known in my whole life. Stay away from this dishonest seller.
