That is exactly the sort of stuff I read. Shame, because they have some nice things that I have not seen elsewhere. But maybe I just need to look harder. Eek!

Actually, the piece I am looking at says the wood is from Vietnam. It also says it's "in stock" and delivery would be under 2 weeks. Still a bad idea?

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

I ordered a few things from them and it worked quite well. A day after placing the order I was contacted about an armchair no longer being available. I then cancelled the sofa as well and got confirmation of that. They still tried to deliver the sofa and I refused to accept delivery which was fine-driver checked with his supervisor and sofa never left the van. All in all quite uneventful and no probs with the furniture as such or billing.

So update on my experience...I decided to go forward anyway, and I had a very positive experience. The piece was delivered in less than 10 days, super efficient, and I love it! So maybe I was lucky or they are upping their game. I am happy I took the chance.

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

it is an old topic but I decided to jump in. I have ordered two items from them - a night lamp and a TV stand. The quality of both was nice, certainly better that IKEA, however the TV stand arrived with missing component, required for the assembly, which is a bit of a bummer. Anyway, I dropped them an email and I am waiting for a response.
They deliver with DPD, who decided to drop the TV stand package in from of the apartment building's door to wait for my arrival and did not bother to take it back to their pickup center.

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

Very disappointed form their service. I received my order with a missing assembly component. I sent them a complaint order for a replacement component. They did not really acknowledge my request with an email or any sort of indication that they are working on it. I had to call them 5 times to clear things out. In two-three weeks they sent the replacement package. It consisted of all assembly components EXCEPT for what I am missing, although I explicitly told them what I need. Now when I try to raise a complaint (again) through their website for the product I have ordered, I can't, simply because I already complained about it. I do not know about you, but I have no intention of ordering from them again

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

We have a table from them, it looks good, the size is accurate, quality of table top is good, delivery was quick and tho I ordered as "drop in front of the door", they carried it in to where I wanted. However the legs are not straight, when looking on the small side they go inwards at the bottom (3cm diff), the legs themselves are good it is the construction itself causing this. don't want to go over the hassle of sending it back since we decided on this table with already the plan to buy a new one when the kid stops jamming random objects in it...

6 chairs along, and one of those has after a few months of normal use the back loose and I can move it freely 30 cm back and forth, send a mail last week. No reply yet.

For the rest, table had a lot of oilstains, but such might be normal and they should disappear over time (I hope), the filling of the chairs I needed to put back under the covering since it stuck out on a bunch of places, and my wife cracked one of the seats while leaning on it wih one knee (she below 80 KG)

So will we order again? Well if we want cheap temporarily stuff they are to me still better than IKEA, if we want things that should last I rather pay more and go elsewhere.

You will probably wont get any good customer support because they use to fire a lot of people from time to time...

I even remember one ocassion that 100 or something were fired at once from the company, and even one tried to punch one of the directors or so...

So, yeah, if a company keeps firing people they will never get to know enough from the company to solve properly the problems, just my 2 cents...

Anyone ordered from home24.ch?

Hi everyone. If you have ordered furniture from the company home24, I am curious about your experience with their delivery process. My building is accessible from the road, but of course, parking is limited. Also, we have no lift, only a winding staircase - not necessarily narrow, but also not an easy climb. I would like to order a couch...
