Anybody bought furniture from home24.ch

Hi all,

We're looking at best places to buy our furniture. We came across http://www.home24.ch and they seem to have good prices for some of their products.
However, being an online shop, I was wondering if any of you guys bought things from them and whether your experience was positive or not.

Would much appreciate any feedback from anybody that is familiar with them.

Many thanks in advance

Re: Anybody bought furniture from home24.ch

Yes - we bought a sofa bed.

Quality - decent for the price
Delivery - slow, promised time kept changing

Overall, they cost about 50% the Ikea equivalent or 20% of the Pfister equivalent, and the quality was probably 75% of those.

I'd use them again for something that isn't a daily-use item, or need delivering to a timetable.

Re: Anybody bought furniture from home24.ch

thank you so much for the info! I've read negative reviews about parts missing on delivery or very late deliveries, so I wanted to hear from people here to see if there are positive experiences.

Many thanks again

home24.ch

I was wondering did any of you ever order anything from this site. I was thinking about ordering a bed, I really like it and in Ikea that bed is 400 fr and here 250 fr. They say shipping time is 7 weeks, I dont know where is this stuff coming from so it needs 7 weeks to arrive.

I also went through that one while looking for some furniture to buy. But, i hesitated to use it not because it feels suspicious, but because i thought it's better to see the item live before buying it

Re: home24.ch

DO NOT use them. We bought some stuff from them. (couch, tables , etc) Took forever to come. They use different shipping companies (La poste, gpl orsomething like that) shit got lost everywhere and I actually yelled at their custumer rep after she started blaming me for everything Their billing is just as big a mess to.

Their stuff is good but I will NEVER use them again. Just go on FB or any review site. Horrible company

I just saw rewievs, and everyone says that company they use for shipping is horrible. A lot of people get different stuff then they ordered.

Then just order the cheapest thing they sell, and wait for the pleasant surprise

Re: home24.ch

I once ordered a bed from Fly (they've closed down or are in the process of doing so). It also took six or more weeks to get the stuff delivered.
And then a part was broken and it took another six weeks (or eight or ten - I don't remember) to finally have the complete bed.
It's a nice bed, though. Solid wood. Made in Brazil.

When I came to Switzerland, I ordered a dining-table (solid wood, too) and some chairs from a seller on eBay.
The table is great - it will probably outlive me.
Would probably survive the next floor coming down on it during an earth-quake.

But when it got delivered, I stuck a long nail protruding from the palette the parts were shipped on, directly into my left hand while helping the driver move it to my apartment on the second floor...
The chairs were not the ones I ordered and when the right ones were finally delivered, they turned out to be not so great - but given that decent chairs cost a fortune, I'm not complaining.
Or course, it took weeks before someone picked them up again and even more weeks till the right ones were delivered.

I also ordered a sideboard from another eBay seller (also solid wood) which is nice, too (mostly). I had it delivered to my parent's place in Germany, though, because the seller didn't do deliveries to Switzerland.

Haven't ordered or bought anything big for years, so can't really recommend a seller.

Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

I saw a piece of furniture on Home24.ch which looks fairly perfect for my needs. But then I Googled reviews for Home24.ch and they all look disastrous.

The reviews are mostly in German, which I do not read but when translated they complained of non-existent customer service, missing pieces, very slow delivery (says weeks but it takes months), sending furniture back for a refund but then they don't get one, people never answering the phone or responding to questions by email so they can not get in touch at all. The list goes on-and-on.

What are people's experience here? Any better?

Cheers.

Re: Home24.ch - a nightmare to deal with?

I recently bought a lamp, it was delivered within the stated time and arrived intact.

I didn't think it went with the decor as well as I imagined and I re-packed it to send it back. Here's the fiddly part, you have to apply for a returns label through the website (in German) and wait until they post it to you. You also have to wait until it's gone through the system and been checked for damages before you get a refund, which can take a while.

I don't reccomend a large purchase on line the actual product or colour can differ greatly from the pictures. Returns can be very costly too.

speaking from my own costly and dissapointing mistakes.

Thanks. Their site says free returns. So, is that incorrect?

Oh god no! I used to work for that company!

They are disastrous, because when you order something, if its not on the warehouse, it needs to be order from china, and the bigger the furniture that you buy, the longer it will take... some people have been waitiong for more than one year, lot of people from customer support have quit because they were only hearing complaints...

Dont buy there, its a shame to say it, but its the truth

That is exactly the sort of stuff I read. Shame, because they have some nice things that I have not seen elsewhere. But maybe I just need to look harder. Eek!
