we inform to SBB also and give a report to SBB Lost property service.but they didn't find anything yet.moreover the no which they have given on their site for enquiry are local no and one can't call them from other country.

Can you guys plz tell me is there any other office where i can complain about my bag

Once you've reported it lost, if they find it, they'll contact you. If after a week or two, they haven't found it, they'll advise you that- though it's unlikely to be found after this period- if anything turns up that matches your description, they'll get in contact.

I'm not sure that it makes sense to complain to anyone that you left your bag behind you, but if SBB find it they are very good about returning it to you.

Re: Help needed Urgently

I agree with Dod. When I arrived in April I left my travel pouch with my passport and return plane ticket inside, at the SBB ticket counter at the airport. It was found, handed in, and returned to me the next day (at a SFR15 fine!). During my short stay in Switzerland so far I have found the swiss amazingly honest!

Re: Help needed Urgently

A small point, but you are reporting that you have mislaid your bag. You are not making a complaint. Just trying to reduce the number of whinging complainers posting...

Re: Help needed Urgently

All you have now is luck and finger-crossing on your side.
Try +41 51 222 33 61 - this is the travel office. Tell them your story and that you cannot call the 900 number from the UK.

Re: Bag Lost on Train [Help needed Urgently]

If you have already lodged a report with the SBB, you should be able to have access to a list on their website detailing all of the items found. If you see something on the list that matches the description of your belonging, you can let the SBB know.

Otherwise, the SBB are pretty good at returning lost items (if they are, in the first instance, handed in by an honest person).

I had a friend who came to visit and left her coat on the train. We lodged a report online with the SBB, and we were then given access to a list of all found items, which was continually updated. We were amazed (and also relieved) to see that people handed in items like Burberry and Prada jackets!

But if 1 month has already passed, then the chances of recovering your items might be slim. Definitely try and get into contact with the SBB.

Re: Bag Lost on Train [Help needed Urgently]

I had my wallet stolen when on the train a few weeks back. I received a letter from the Police and had to go to Pfäffikon to pick it up as someone lovely person had handed it in (no money but everything else was there) about a week or so after it was nicked. Said person found it on a train and handed in, but no idea if they handed it in directly to Pfäffikon police or if this is where you pick up stolen/lost stuff from.

Hope you get it back

Losing it

Hi all,

I foolishly left a brand new and rather expensive suit on the S4 train this morning. I have filled in a form with SBB. What in your opinion are the chances of me ever seeing it again?

Re: Losing it

Pretty high, since you acted fast enough.

I once forgot my backpack on the train once, but managed to get in the office before the train got to the terminal station. I warned people there that there would have been a black backpack in the second car and they promptly went and retrieved it for me.
Just a happy story!

Good luck!

Re: Losing it

There are limited clues in your profile to your taste, so we would have to default to limited-fashion-sense, disuading anyone from wanting to keep the garments. So: 62.43% chance of return in 3-months, with a 10% chance of it having been worn once before its return for a wedding or job interview.

There is also a 5% chance the finder would take it back to the shop for a refund.

Re: Losing it

Did you perhaps also lose a pair of '80's Retro', yet stylish, sport shades?

Kind like these -

Cause I found a pair on the train this morning and then went on to hand em in at Bahnhof Enge....

Did my good deed for the day.

Re: Losing it

Hi, my visitors arriving from the airport at Zürich main station left a rucksack containing a laptop and 3 passports in the train which was going on to Bern! At the Lost & Found counter they were very helpful and offered to phone through to the train personnel provided my nephew paid them Fr.CH 50. It was worth the money because he was able to pick up the rucksack with contents intact the very same evening! So I would say you have a very good chance of retrieving your suit even if it takes a bit longer than 4 hours! Keep us posted and good luck.

The next time I see a well dressed clochard in Zurich begging for (dry cleaning) money I'll think of you..

In the UK, the carraige would have been isolated, a Swat team called in and the bag destroyed!
