Re: Recycling depots in Zug

O.K. Now I know I have to remove paper labels from all bottles and cans, thanks I am still looking for a place in Zug where I can bring plastic. I don't drive so is there anything closer to city centre?

There is one place on the way to Baar, besides the church on the right hand side. Bus number 3 (and 4) stops in the area. Could anyone please tell me more about it? Where exactly is it and when is it open?

One more question about paper envelopes with plastic windows:
Do they go with paper or plastic? From what I remember I shouldn't throw it in the same container as paper, is that right?

Re: Recycling depots in Zug

Migros in Zug has plastic collection.

The opening times for all Kanton Zug recycling places are listed here: http://www.zug.ch/behoerden/weitere-...zeiten-bereich

The Baar one is the one you mention by the church. You need to take the first left when coming from Zug, and go under the train bridge and you are there. The Zug one is located the first road to the left behind the Chicago bar / Fitness park (if driving you need to go up to the hotel and turn left and enter from the other end).

The Okibus travels around too and stops in our street: http://www.zug.ch/behoerden/weitere-...nd-roesslitram

The main Íkihof in Zug is only a couple of minutes' walk from the Guthirt bus stop (line 3 going towards Baar), and no more than five minutes from the station. It's open (and best avoided by car anyway given the queues) on Saturday mornings - I think it also opens reasonably early on weekdays if you can stomach the idea of recycling before work...

RE plastic, as far as I know you can only recycle plastic bottles in Switzerland. You can do this at the Íkihof or in any supermarket. Coop only seems to take PET bottles & milk bottles, whereas Migros also have a container for "other plastic bottles".

In my country if you would like to give waste paper to special places, you will receive some amount of money (not so much) in return.

How it works here?

Re: Recycling depots in Zug

My old ironing board is about to break. Where exactly can i dispose of it at the zugeland oekihof? Never had to dispose of large items, so i am absolutely at a loss. I am familiar with tins, glass, electronics, etc disposal, but the ironing board? Please help.
The reason i inquire about zugeland - will get myself a new one at the same time, so the trip is not wasted.

Do you mean Zugerland? The big shopping centre? You can dump your old ironing board in the Oekihof nearby in Steinhausen (just at the back of the shopping centre really, but you have to drive around).
