Flat Irons in Zurich

Hi,

My fiance arrived today and we tried to use her flat iron from the US with a power converter but it did not work. Has anyone done this with success or do we need to buy a Swiss one? If we have to buy a Swiss one does anyone know where we could buy a decent one without it costing a fortune

Thanks,
Kevin

The only one I know of is at Broadway and 23rd...

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

FYI, your iron will work with a power converter but you need one that will be large enough to provide the necessary current/voltage (or whatever it is that they need). I have a great big one, about the size of a six pack of beer that I use to run a tube amplifier - if you have other electrical appliances from NA you might consider buying one of those and plugging in a US extension cord or power bar which would enable you to run everything. They have a built in fuse that blows once in a while depending on load, but it's easy enough to change.
