I was going to recommend Orell Füssli in Bahnhofstrasse but according to their website, they only sell National Geographic posters, in French.

Beaten to it. Stanfords have an excellent range.

You can get a variety of themed poster maps from National Geographic: http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/index.jsp

Is this one big enough? 110 inches by 76 inches showing the world at 206 miles to the inch.

Ikea has got a huge world map displayed so they must be in there somewhere - sorry but I couldn't say if all the countries are in English.

I noticed the huge Ikea world map canvas the other day, the countries are in English and I believe it was around 190 CHF or maybe 150.

Re: [Where to buy] World map

I've been looking for Russian maps of European countries, ideally antique or Soviet-era, and of course, in Russian. Also, old Arabic-language maps of Europe would be nice to find.

Any idea where I could find some? The usual online leads prove fruitless and fleamarkets only have Michellin road maps from the '80s...

Re: [Where to buy] World map

I can confirm that we bought one at Ikea for about 200 CHF. About 2.5mx1.5m. Nice map.

Try Soviet Military-Issue Topographic Maps.

I have no interest whatsoever in Soviet maps of Europe, but buy my Swiss maps from OmniMap, and have browsed much of their excellent site.
