Courier services from Switzerland.

Can anyone recommend a courier from Switzerland to other countries (worldwide) with a pricing structure that isn't really OTT cpmpared with other European countries.

As an example, UPS will ship a particular parcel from the U.K. to the Middle East for around 50 GBP.
To ship the same parcel, to the same place, with UPS, with the same service agreement from Switzerland is 662 CHF.

Am I missing a trick here?
Who, and with what service do you use (apart from the Post Office)?

Thanks

Re: Courier services from Switzerland.

How would it work out sending it from Germany or France?

Re: Courier services from Switzerland.

Interesting question.

Would love to know as I have to send a fairly heavy box of personal papers to NZ - and just don't know which wiould be the best option. I have a choice of sending from CH or from FRance.

I think it's just switzerland.. We had the same dilema inbound to switzerland christmas before last..

We had ~30kg of kids christmas gifts to send back here. UPS/Fedex/RoyalMail etc all wanted around £300 to ship to switzerland.. But £50 to ship it 10km west to a friends house in France.

Not cost effective.

This is a regular thing - not a one off.

At the moment I'm using the post office -but it's a bit slow.

@Tom1234

Have you looked at Air Freight with whichever ME airline that goes to the location you need? Preferably on a non-stop flight. Normally air freight costing is based on weight and cube so if the thing(s) is not huge, it might make more sense.

It would imply dropping it off at the carrier's depot and having it picked up at the other end. Possible? Delivery would be faster as well.
