Refugee: Where can I learn how to draw/paint in Lausanne art for free or small fee?

Does anyone know a place or two where I can start learning art? I am teaching myself to draw but I need someone who know to teach me how to draw as I find it hard to learn it all by myself. I am a refugee and I don't have much cash to spend, but it is also my dream so I can't let it go because of it and I need help.

Thanks EF in advance for all your help.

If you're in a small community which publishes a newsletter, check the club listings there may be a sketching club nearby.

Failing that, if there is an art supply shop nearby stop by there and check the noticeboard and/or ask.

iirc Coop and Migros have introductory books on sketching. Best is to have someone live to give you tips though. It does take time. I am impressed by the hours my daughter has spent sketching any and everything.

Yeah I love youtube tutorials and I have tutorials from lynda.com but sometimes those aren't enough. It is super helpful to have someone beside you to check/correct and guide you through the steps.

Klubschule offers "try once" painting courses in some cities. From what I understand, they're free. They only last an hour too. Not sure they have anything in Lausanne, but here's an example of what they have in Zurich: http://www.klubschule.ch/Angebote/Ku...E_1022492_1152
