Visiting Grindlewald

Hi,

Am about to visit Grindlewald for just over a week, and am looking for some good value/nice places to eat, especially in the evening.

Any recommendations?

Any Groupon type deals available?

Thanks

Argonaut

Re: Visiting Grindlewald

I visited Grindelwald a few years ago. As a tourist destination, there are no shortage of restaurants of all types

It's a really small town, so not sure how much variety you'll find. Nice raclette place there, IIRC.

Also, I thought your handle was Aargaunaut, which would be a damn near perfect EF name.

Good luck and enjoy Grindelwald, it's gorgeous.

Re: Visiting Grindlewald

You have picked a really odd time to visit.
The ski season has just finished, and the walking season doesn't start until the end of May.
Many of the hotels and restaurants will be shut.

If it is open I can strongly recommend the Aspen Hotel (a short drive or taxi ride out of the town centre) for food, drink or a stay.

If you like Indian, the Golden India, is a surprise find in the Swiss Alps, and not too expensive.
Have fun.

I would recommend Onkel Tom's, just past the First gondela, lovely pizzas

Re: Visiting Grindlewald

Whoops to odd time to visit... We are indeed there for walking, but couldn't go any later in May...

Hoping that we can get some good long walks in... :-/

Thanks for the suggestions, people.
