I live surrounded by vinyards, and am actually going to a local event today where I'm hoping to find out whether I can take part in the grape harvest in the fall (seems like fun but it's probably hard work...). Would you like me to ask on your behalf too? Trouble is, it's quite a ways from Zermatt.

I expect that the internet is not the best place to look for this kind of work. You'll probably have to go talk to people in the local communities and the farmers themselves. Best of luck!

I second that. The impression I had from my conversation with the vintner last night was that picking was done by a ragtag collection of whoever was around and interested in helping out, more a community effort than proper employment, and more done for the pleasure of it than for the pay (if any!).
