Take a photo with your phone

Many scanner apps for smartphones. Officelens from Microsoft a good one. I use it to scan docs even for official purposes

Or as Ivank says, just take a photo. Make sure the lens is directly above the centre and hold still. Then crop the image on your computer and adjust the contrast and brightness. That's what I did recently when I had to send a scan of my passport (and a photocopy, I just printed it out). Both were accepted.

+1 for officelens app, it detects the edges of the doc and adjusts contrast, somehow corrects distortions of the closeup shot.
