Santa in problems... :P

Hi guys!

Well, here there is a Santa in problems...

My family ask me for present an iPhone X / or a Razer phone and an XBOX ONE X... Problem is, that it doesnt seem to be none of them around in Basel, tried Digitech and Mediamarkt with no luck...

The iPhone X, no one has it
The Razer phone will be released on the 17th, but there is no store that says that they will sell it...
The XBOX ONE X was released today, and guess what? Empty everywhere...

Problem is that im going to the south at the end of the month, so I should get the things for the 20th max.

Any ideas? I was planning to try the Discount store

Re: Santa in problems... :P

Both Are freshly released and stores will make promises, but they have to rely on getting the actual shipments, experience teaches us with releases like this that it's near to impossible to guarantee delivery (look at the current mess at Amazon in Germany for example where lot's of people only heard today that their pre-order is not in stock, and that if they ordered a Scorpio delivery will just not happen)

Microspot says they can deliver the XboX on the 13th, Interdiscount says they can deliver the 14th (I would not dare to bet they actually can guarantee this). As for the Iphone it depends on which model you want, the 64GB will be sold out almost everywhere (if not everywhere) the 256GB version is still in stock (but wil runout quickly) at Swisscom for example.

To me the only way to have your XboX for certain in time would be to go on Ricardo pay a 100,- to 200,- extra and pick it up from one of the many people who buy these things with no other goal then to resell for an easy profit.

Never knew Digitec did such

I already advised you in my first posting to go to one of those guys, since it might very well be your only change to be certain that you have one before the 20th (or even Christmas if you wait to long), you can try to seek for another week and perhaps some stores will get more stock, perhaps not and then the ones that only ask 100,- extra are gone, and the ones that ask much more remain.

Free market

Well, you're going to a third world country for Christmas. They expect you to be ahead here (deliver what's not yet on the market). You will - once again - have a lot of explaining to do.

Sorry, couldn't help it. Waving my third-world-country passport at you for forgiveness

Not ahead, there are the same things as here, just between 30% to 50% more expensive there...

And already available there but not here?

Actually you realize, if you bring them along, they are 100% cheaper. For them

Re: Santa in problems... :P

I was in the Swisscom shop in the Mythen Centre, Kanton Schwyz yesterday. They offered me an iPhone x, available right then and there. Good luck.

(I didn't take it, but scrooged for the WAY cheaper iPhone 7 instead)
