Re: Good stores for furniture?

A second vote for Interio. It's a bit more expensive than Ikea but the quality is better. Also in Blandonnet shopping centre is close to the nearby Ikea so you can do both at once if you can take it. Pfister I think is overpriced for what you get.

Re: Good stores for furniture?

Restructuring:

Quote:
As part of a final restructuring, the Interio branches were transferred to interested Migros cooperatives in the second quarter of 2018, putting them on an equal footing with the cooperatives' Micasa specialty stores. The cooperatives in Zurich , Lucerne , Eastern Switzerland and Basel each took over the only branch in their area of activity, Migros Aare in addition to its two "own" branches, as well as the five branches in western Switzerland and Ticino. [7]
Around a year later, in June 2019, MGB Director Fabrice Zumbrunnen announced that he wanted to sell all of the unprofitable company divisions from the Commerce department, including in particular Globus, Interio and Depot. [8] In November 2019, Migros announced that the XXXLutz Group is taking over six of the eleven branches and will convert them to Mömax locations. [9] By September 2020, the remaining five branches will be closed gradually.

Re: Good stores for furniture?

Been having an awful time trying to order any furniture from any place apart from Ikea, I am away but moving soon, so having to order online, most the named shops do not answer their phone, if they do, they can't speak English ( this is not a complaint re the English, I know its totally shortcoming of mine not speaking German, but for me it means finding another place) most they take days to reply to an email, their delivery is anything between 5 and 20 days so one can't organise their times, they refuse to give a smaller delivery window ... some will not assemble, other's have delivery/assembly costs double the cost of the furniture !
So at the end as much as I didn't want it, Ikea won on the customer services point, they always answer the phone, the sales people will always answer the phone, 4 languages available, over the phone they would go out of their way to help you, happy to change an order/ cancel it, exchange items with no problems, they would book delivery and assembly at the same time.
Well i haven't received my furniture from them yet, so hopefully when its delivered and assembled the customer service will be as good.

Re: Good stores for furniture?

If it helps anyone, I've had very good customer service from Conforama and Gonser including prompt email responses and telephone conversations in English and German. Gonser in particular, were exceptional. They confirmed an order and delivery within 72hrs for a 2 meter long table during lockdown, then sent a delivery van tracking link on the day. Also had very good customer service and delivery from Netto for 6ft tall freezer.

Re: Good stores for furniture?

Hiya,

Did anyone buy 'antique' furniture via Tutti.ch from Marcus Welzenbach?

I'm looking for recommendation.

No experience, but they are seriously expensive. Also check out Home24 that has many copies of Stressless designs https://www.home24.ch/
