charity - donating toys

We have a lot of toys in very good condition that we want to donate to a charity in the Zürich area.

Does anybody know one?

Re: charity - donating toys

I donate stuff to a friend who then brings it to the Ukraine. But no, I do not know a charity in Zurich area.

Ask the salvation army maybe?

Re: charity - donating toys

Ring round a few day care places and ask them if they want them. As far as I recall they'll take stuff they can "sanitise", i.e. plastic type toys they can put through a dishwasher, for example. Stuffed toys are normally refused as they can't clean them properly.

The other suggestion is the Kinderspital but I imagine the "sanitising" thing applies to them, too.

Other places that might take them are where there are waiting rooms, doctors, etc. There are usually various toys in varying conditions in a corner somewhere.
