Pfister furniture order

I ordered and paid CHf 15,000.00 worth of furniture which is scheduled for delivery end of January. Due to a dispute, I wish to cancel my order and be fully reimbursed. Can I cancel the order and be fully reimbursed since the furniture has not been delivered yet??

Would appreciate your advice.

Jill

No idea, did you ask them? And what is written in the sales contract?

It may have been made especially for you in the factory. There is a reason why furniture is usually paid for upfront.

Re: Pfister furniture order

It was made and ordered from a catalog of one of pfister’s suppliers. The contract is a standard sales contract. I agreed to pay chf2,000.00 a month until delivery and still owe chf2,000.00 but would like to cancel the entire order and be reimbursed. They ordered the furniture before I made any payments.

Re: Pfister furniture order

Swiss law itself does not grand you any right to cancel this order or to return the goods. However they are a member of VSV, so they at minimum give you a 10 days right to return and according to Pfisters terms all transportation costs are on your behalf and any refund will not give you your money back, but a coupon to buy other stuff at their store.

Your best bet, is to minimise damage as much as perhaps possible, call them tomorrow asap and be willing to pay up for any costs that they have/will make due to your behaviour, this to avoid having a 15K Pfister coupon.

And perhaps is buying and reselling them not the worst option if you never want to buy again at their store unless you can find people willing to order stuff through your account and pay you.

Re: Pfister furniture order

I have not received the furniture yet and therefore am not returning any goods to them. No delivery date has been set and the furniture is sitting at Pfister unpacked. I know that ikea reimbursed orders in full if they have not been delivered. The reason for my cancellation is because we bought three years ago 2 leather chairs for our kitchen. They were never used and had a custom made cotton cover to match the curtains. Three months ago, we discovered that the zipper at the bottom of the chair used to make the leather chair burst open. we never turned the chair and therefore never saw the zipper. The zipper was too small to make the leather covered chair. We contacted pfister and were told that the chair guaranty expired but they agreed to send an expert to determine whether the burst zipper was a manufacturer’s defect. The expert wrote a report that the zipper was a manufacturer’s defect. Customer service told me that they will order a new chair three months ago, but when I recently called to find out about delivery of the replacement chair, they demanded that I pay chf 600.00 the price of the original chair. customer service suggested to recover both chairs and let me choose two chairs for the price that I paid, but wanted first to clarify this with the manager of the Geneva store and promised to get back to me by January 11 at the latest. To this day, we have not been contacted. Any suggestions to resolve this before trying to cancel our furniture order??

About the original question about cancelling the order, do you have a copy of the documents you have signed when you made the purchase agreement? It probably contains information on cancellations.

(I've ordered before at their shop)

In Short:

Orderchanges only in contact with their consumer department, but they have no legal obligations to do so. (Nor anything in their rules that grants right to changes.)

14 days to return items unless made specifically for the customer (stuff that is sold in diff measurements of which customer picks one specific size also counts as such)

No refund, money will be put towards customer account to spend in future in their shop.

OP wants to fully cancel his order and get his money back, there no laws or rules on their site that give him any rights to such, his best options are to either contact customer service and hope he can work something out which is not to expensive for him, or just accept delivery and be happy with it.

Thanks. I do not to want to cancel my order, wanted to know what my rights are if I decide to cancel. I do need help with the defective leather chair which I described to you earlier.

Well you know how to chase people away from your topic.

Good luck with your chair.

Re: Pfister furniture order

What do you mean by “chasing people away from my topic”. I tried to explain the real problem which is a defective chair which has been determined “defective” by a pfister expert but pfister refuses to replace it and therefore I tried to find out whether I can cancel my furniture order and there was no need for you to outright insult me. I am an 83 year jurist but unfamiliar with Swiss law but if insults are your way of “helping members”, then your forum is a waste of my precious time!!!

As Edwin said, you ask a completely different question and then suddenly say that that is not what you want to do. Confusing
