Are photos recyclable? Zug or Switzerland in general

I have been sorting through old stuff and ended up with a sizable bag of old photos: the ones from 90-s, in colour. Back then you'd take an awful lot of useless shots, then develop the entire film and end up with 10 out of 36 pics with a blurred tree or half an ear....

I have looked at the local oekihof info: nothing about photos. Before I start pestering them, maybe some of you would know what to do with 2kg of pictures of nostrils, 'flashed' eyeballs or, worse, someone's buttock. Don't judge me, I didn't even take many of them.

So, yes, please, let me know of the best way of disposing of them responsibly.

Re: Are photos recyclable? Zug or Switzerland in general

I'd say they aren't recyclable with paper since they have chemical coatings on them. But I googled just in case.

https://www.recyclenow.com/what-to-d.../photographs-1

Based on that, since we incinerate most rubbish here, the regular rubbish bag would probably suffice.

Or you could blow them up to 100x size and call it art and open a gallery...

Sorry can’t help on the recycling but thanks for the achingly relatable description of developed-film photos.

Reminds me that the developers used to have standard ‘advice stickers’ which they’d stick to your blurred-nostril-photo as a sort of passive-aggressive critique of your photography skills.

So happy that we are more or less now paperless

Around here, they don't actually recycle the paper, they just burn it, so I'd simply add it to the normal paer waste.

Ah, forgot about those stickers... Got giggles from the photo people, no stickers...
The worst part was developing and then getting an empty film, because the camera malfunctioned...

And, thank you, 3wishes - I suspected that would be the case. But it doesn't hurt asking around before splashing out on a shredder.

You'd scratch your eyes out if I ever exhibit hairy armpits and nostrils - I am not that cruel.
