SciFi books

Hi all,
I am looking for good books SciFi or non-SciFi focused on robots and robotics for a kid of 11 years. The books must be in German.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Might be a bit steep depending on the intellectual maturity of the kid, but how about Isaac Asimov? Especially the short stories. Totally classic and timeless stories that have a good dose of technology and robotics mixed in with ethical questions and observations.

The Men from PIG and ROBOT by Harry Harrison (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/...And_R_O_B_O_T_) but not sure if there is a German translation.

Re: SciFi books

For this I can suggest the "Solar Queen" series from Andre Norton, all about a tramp freighter going to the lesser economical trade planets. Brilliantly written and a front to back read, especially for an 11 year old, I still read them and they belong to my precious books.
Then, oh boy you done it now, the German series "Perry Rhodan"a series about a group of astronauts finding a crashed spaceship on the moon and with the technology create a new nation on earth, this series has been going on since 1961 and has spawned over 6000 editions. It is THE kid´s SCFI series schlechthin in hardcover book and magazin.
Then you can get the "Raumschiff Orion" series, one of my all time favorites, there are seven one hour films and countless magazines. Even the music has become cult.

There are many others but these should give you an idea.

Re: SciFi books

I agree with amogle about Asimov. Plus, he started to write in the '50es, I always found fascinating the style of SciFi in those years... I think the focus was more on action and imagination and less on complicating the plots (e.g. consider how time is handled in the movie "Interstellar", that's something quite recent).
